wait, this is NOT a Hopper?

Nigel Van Wieck to Edward Hopper is what The Tallest Man On Earth is to Bob Dylan (and probably what Bob Dylan is to Woody Guthrie).

He pretty much emulate Hopper (which imply a greater intensity than ‘is influenced by Hopper’) in terms of subject matter, style, nuances, etc in a very obvious manner. On the review section of his website, this inevitable comparison is discussed.

Option A is to argue about the obsolete idea that is originality.

Option B is to just admit that he did a great job in emulating Hopper.

yeah let’s just go with Option B.
