…this is one of my favorite parts in the movie - the comeback montage. and that’s second day shooting, in the factory, working out. some of that stuffs are the best stuffs i’ve ever done with bill murray. it was early on in the movie and here i am, this new kid actor having to lead bill murray in funny stuffs to do. wes said just do it and bill will follow. right here! favorite part of the whole movie - that little wheelie! i love that part. but all that stuffs with the pipes, with us running, wes said “just do it, do whatever you want, bill will follow!”

the room where Max climbed in after he pretended to get hit by a car was Edward Appleby’s room. The black and white photos stuck on the wall, which were supposed to be childhood photos of Edward Appleby are actually childhood photos of Owen Wilson - taken by his mother. So in a way Owen Wilson is Edward Appleby.

remember that theory about Life Aquatic being written by Max Fischer and Ned Plimpton was a character Max wrote based on Edward Appleby? whoaa.
